Ever since I started living away from home, Coffee has been my go-to drink in the morning. It was a kind of morning ritual – both making and sipping coffee. I even claim to make the best coffee in the world.
Yet. one day, I stopped drinking it. This is something I like about myself. When I decide to quit something, I quit it the next moment.
The change happened after reading an article. It was not a research explaining the disadvantages of coffee. The author made a point: You don’t need coffee to wake you up. You need VITALITY.
It hit me hard. Why don’t I have such vitality? Why can’t I be so purpose-driven?
I even don’t know the exact meaning of vitality. But I could picture it. A person filled with energy, drive, and enthusiasm—someone who wakes up fueled by purpose, not caffeine.
Life After Coffee
The only sugar I consumed was in my coffee. Without coffee, the sugar is gone too. I used to feel heavy after my morning cup—now, that sluggishness is gone.
And yes, my energy levels are more stable throughout the day. No crashes. No dependence. But am I as purpose-driven as I imagined? Not yet.
This isn’t just about quitting coffee. It’s about becoming the kind of person who doesn’t need external stimulants to feel alive.
